My husband l-o-v-e-s when I make this for dinner. It's really easy and
very good, especially when served with cornbread and southern
green beans.
BBQ CHUCK ROAST
4-5 lb. chuck roast*
Cover and roast for 2 hours at 350 degrees.
Pour off fat and juices.
Mix:
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup A-1
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar.)
Pour over roast.
Cover and bake 1 hour more or until tender.
*Since chuck roasts tend to be a fatty cut of meat, you could easily
substitute a flank steak or london broil.
