PS to Previous Post

This may have something to do with why I was in the Christmas spirit today. I can't resist a good holiday flick!

Two Months From Today.....

...it will be Christmas!!! (Please note the countdown to the left.) My darling husband said no "Christmas countdown until after Thanksgiving", but I reminded him who's blog it was. Haha!

The Christmas season has always been particularly special to Tom and I. We started dating about two weeks before Christmas in 2002. The following Christmas Day he proposed. Then two days after Christmas in 2006 we found out we were going to be parents.

I LOVE everything about Christmas! I love the feeling of it! I love the reason we celebrate it! I love being with family! I love giving gifts! I love seeing the excitement and anticipation of my loved ones opening presents! I LOVE decorating! (I do go a little overboard with a Christmas tree, a village draped in "snow", a huge coffee table display, lights on the porch, lighted garland over the front door, lighted garland inside on the banister, and hanging stockings.) I love the traditions we have! I love that I have a little boy that's old enough to get excited about Christmas! And yes, I love the food that comes only with the holidays! It's all just so wonderful!

I can't wait to see what this Christmas brings!

(Did I mention I LOVE Christmas?)

Fall Photo Shoot

We really needed family time on Sunday with just the 3 of us, so what better why to spend it than doing a photo shoot with my favorite subjects? It was such a beautiful, crisp fall evening and thankfully Tennyson was cooperative.

Enjoy the photos of our little Tennyson Harper!

Ever Learning

Well, our little guy has now learned how to climb on top of the coffee table. At first he figured out he could use a toy to give him a boost.

This photo is blurry because he was waving his arms to celebrate his accomplishment.

Then he figured out how to do it without the use of a toy. Yeah, isn't....that....great? We definitely don't encourage this, but it's so gosh darn funny when he gets that proud look on his face. I mean, look at that face!

It doesn't seem like Tennyson learned to walk all that long ago, but now....he runs...everywhere!

Tennyson also discovered that if you flip the footstool upside down you can use it for a swing! Well, hallelujah to that!

He loves sidewalk chalk, too, when he's not trying to eat it. I am so proud of this photo. Mommy is left-handed and I am holding out hope he will be, too!

Tennyson has also learned how to put together his Duplos! It's exciting because he sits and plays with them instead of seeing how far he can through them and subsequently test how much noise they make when they hit the floor, the wall, or the windows.

He is definitely keeping Tom and I on our toes. But we wouldn't change it for the world! He's only been in our lives for a little over 14 months, but we don't know how we ever lived without him. Love you lots, Little Man!

Now You Know Why

I know I have been MIA again on the blogger scene but not without good reason. I haven't been able to upload new photos to iPhoto for weeks because we have so many photos and video (of you know who) on our Mac that it was eating up most of our harddrive. So my brother came to the rescue and helped us backup the videos and burn them onto DVDs last night. Thanks, Cammy! So be prepared to read lots of Tennyson updates, complete with photos (cuz that's the most important part, right?).

In other news, I "lost" one of my two full-time kids that I keep. Thankfully, it had nothing to do with me. Someone offered to care for their child in their home and they couldn't turn it down. I learned a lesson though, I need to put the "termination clause" back in my contract! Oops! Man, I thought my 4-page contract would be enough!

But God is always good and always provides. I will be doing bookkeeping/accounting/admin work from home! I am super excited about that! I have missed office work and working with numbers and now my brain won't turn to mush doing the childcare thing all day. Yipee! In fact, I am off to review statements and invoices now.

Hope your Friday is just as exciting!

Hat

As mentioned in the post from 9.21 Tennyson can demonstrate that a hat goes on his head. Well, I was finally able to get a half-way decent photo. He is also saying "hat" as I snapped the picture. Isn't that too funny?!

I Thought Only Girls Did That

I had no idea that little boys could pull out the fake crying trick! When Tennyson does this we just roar with laughter. What else could we possibly do when we look at the ridiculous faces he makes? What a faker!
